F. A. Roberts & Associates Ltd. provides welding engineering services to companies certified under the CSA W47.1, W47.2 and W186 Standards. Services include development of welding procedures, inspection and auditing of welding operations, selection of welding equipment and automated processes as well as design of welding fixtures.
For structural fabricators, design of welded connections and complete design details for shop drawings are provided. In addition to Canadian weld engineering standards, structural welding procedures are also developed to AWS D1.1, D1.3, D1.5, and D1.6 welding codes.
The company also provides welding engineering services for the boiler, pressure vessel and piping industry. We develop welding procedures for low temperature and high temperature carbon steels, stainless steels and advanced nickel and titanium alloys to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX.
For the oil and gas sector, welding procedures are developed to conform to the requirements of CSA Standard Z662, “Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems”.
Brazing procedures are engineered for copper, brass, steels, carbides and dissimilar metals using torch and automated brazing as well as induction heating methods.
